The importance of safety and HSST policy
Today a company is well aware of the legal implications and requirements when it comes to HSST, Health, Safety and Hygiene at Work. HSST was born as a set of actions based on the concerns of workers in industry in the mid-20th century due to the lack of attention to working conditions.
Nowadays, the dimension of HSST is very different, due to the Framework Law on Safety, Hygiene and Health at Work makes it mandatory for employers to organise Safety and Health at Work services.
In short, the HSST, has the objective of guaranteeing the working conditions in any company, in a state of social, physical and mental well-being, and not only the absence of disease.
